Activities out of the ordinary in 2012
Canford Healthcare prides itself on a quality home life for all residents.
Activities are at the heart of our everyday provisions. Be it for mind, body or soul, you can be assured that we have interesting fun past times planned - and sometimes something a little out of the ordinary!
Read about what we have been up to lately across the Canford Healthcare Group of homes, in Kent and Sussex, and view our photographs.
- Supporting the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2012 at Pentlow nursing Home, Eastbourne. We discovered that it is not such good news for the sparrows in 2012.
- Holding a traditional Burns lunch complete with Haggis was a great highlight in Eastbourne, and our piper was a super addition to the event.
- We've been nimble fingered as we made origami models at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, Kent. Origami is great for the mind and for the dexterity. You should see the concentration!
- We're always finding fun ways to fitness. Why not have a chuckle as you exercise! At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, specialist fitness classes are geared to the abilities of our residents.
- In Maidstone at Barty House, we heard how our charity shoe boxes had brightened the lives of some underpriviledged children.
- We named our chief hen keeper at Barty House, as eggs we hatched in 2011 become egg layers themselves!
Obviously we have our favourite activities at each home, but once in a while, why not try something new?
