I wanted to thank you once again for the excellent care which Daddy received from you and from all the Summerdown and Pentlow staff during his stay. He really could not have been in a better place for this closing chapter of his life, and once he had settled in and got to know the staff he was really happy to be so well looked after.

Canford Healthcare Limited has been named as one of the region’s top 20 companies achieving sustained growth.

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP’s analysis of the mid market (companies with turnover between £10m-300m) has shown that Canford Healthcare is one of the Central South’s success stories, reporting impressive growth during the last four years.

Canford Healthcare recently acknowledged some staff super stars celebrating long service. Over 40 members of staff with 10+ years service were invited to afternoon tea, held at the Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne.  Two members of staff, Gilian Ash from Barty House in Bearsted and Patricia Boniface from Pentlow Nursing Home in Eastbourne, have topped 20 years of service each.

Directors Barry Lambert and Brian Cooney presented framed certificates and a bouquet of flowers to each member of staff. All were celebrating at least 10 years of service of within their Canford care home, many over fifteen years. Staff also received an extra day of paid holiday this year. The highly enjoyable event was an opportunity for the directors, and the Home’s Managers to thank their staff.

Pam Gillard, from Inglewood Nursing home in Eastbourne; celebrating 16 years of service, said “I was surprised and delighted to receive a long service award.  Not only do I feel valued at Inglewood by Canford, the afternoon tea was most enjoyable and it was lovely that the directors personally presented me with such beautiful flowers”. Barry Lambert said “I would like to thank our committed team for the efforts they put in everyday which make our homes a special place for our residents.”
